Block of the Month 2022- 2023
The Block of the Month for 2022 and 2023 are a study in color and value. We will be using the same curved log cabin pattern for each block. What will change is the combination of colors and values = the degree of light and dark in each block.
It is your job to select a range of fabrics = solids or tone on tone patterns or batiks in a range of value from dark to light. You will need 30 values in a range of colors. Sounds daunting but look in your stash and I am sure you have more than you think. We only need a piece about 5" by WOF. At our monthly Zoom meetings we can review your selections and be sure you have what you need.
When your palette of fabric is selected, we will number the fabrics by value = fabric one is the darkest and 30 is the lightest. Each month I will give your the numbers of the values you will be using. Everyone's palette will be different so the results will be different from each other. Exciting.
