East Quilts West

Instructor: Catherine Gentile

Description:   East Quilts West is Kumiko Sudo's first and best book for creative work.  This project is as much a course in piecing and applique, as an excuse to get 'spiritual' with fabric.  Each block in East Quilts West was inspired by a poem, symbol or special occasion in Japanese culture.  This is not a sampler quilt - we will combine six blocks into one creative piece.  Learn fine piecing techniques at intermediate level.  The blocks are not difficult, just different from our usual quilt patterns.

Quilt is on display at Sew-n-Sew
