Sew with a Pro is the perfect place to receive help with individual garment sewing and fitting projects.  There is a full table per person and enrollment is limited to allow plenty of personal attention.  Your highly skilled instructor can assist with your sewing and fitting problems.

Join your quilting friends for sewing and fun.  Do your minimal homework, bring the supplies on your list and you might even finish your quilt by quitting time.  A homemade dinner and dessert will be provided.


The design on the quilt is fun and fast - only five fabrics.  Your sure to love it.

Teddy Bear Weekend

Sat and Sun, September 25th and 26th

Join us for a day or all weekend to help sew little teddy bears for Emerson Hospital. A soft little flannel teddy bear is given to every child arriving for treatment. The hospital staff has commented upon how much the bears help the children feel safer at a frightening time.

We have work for everyone: cutting, sewing and stuffing the bears. All help is appreciated.

Using different types of felting needles and a bit of patience, we will transform wool roving into an owl with personality.  Your kit will contain reusable supplies so you can continue to explore the craft by making minature animals, ornaments, cards or other items after the class has ended.

Bring autumn indoors with a colorful leaf bowl! Use your scraps to create a multihued leaf that we will shape into a bowl using a heat-moldable fusible stabilizer. Add accents with decorative stitching. These bowls are a lovely accent on the Thanksgiving table and make lovely gifts at any time of the year.

Make whese dapper little vests for your gift bottles of wine and spirits.  Just use some fabric scraps, a few little buttons, some elastic and a bit of chain.  The fully lined vests even have a little pocket to hold a gift tag.

Tired of staying home but no place to go.  Ring in the New Year with sewing friends.  Come, spend 4 days sewing with friends. Arrive Wednesday, Dec 29th, with your supplies and leave them until Saturday, January 1st.  Bring all those unfinished UFOs. Space is limited, there is a table per person.

Learn the Hoopsisters techniques - make cases for your George Trimmer and rotary cutter, or one for your tablet/iPad.  Alternatively, start, or get back to work, on a HoopSisters project such as Fanfare or Frank the Frog.  Bring your embroidery machine and stay through the Embroidery Open Sew on Sunday.  Deverie is a Hoopsisters registered isntructor.

Learn the “magic” method of making this amazing 20” quilt block with just 1 ½” x 3” rectangles. We will be using Quiltsmart fusible interfacing to piece the stars. Make one little 20” star or purchase the different interfacing kits to make a 38” or a 58” Lone Star.  Mind blowing to get such a beautiful block so easily. Spend Saturday in class and stay through the Sunday Open Sew to complete your block.

Bee Creative for four full days.  Work on your projects with good company.  Leave everything set up each evening and return to it the next day.  Bring pot luck snacks and relax.  Have a lovely three day sewing getaway.  This is not a private studio class, however, assistance is available for questions about your project or machine techniques.
