Embroidery Open Sews

Bring your embroidery machine and sew with your friends. Work on any project. There is no instructor.

Learn the “magic” method of making this amazing 20” quilt block with just 1 ½” x 3” rectangles. We will be using Quiltsmart fusible interfacing to piece the stars. Make one little 20” star or purchase the different interfacing kits to make a 38” or a 58” Lone Star. Mind blowing to get such a beautiful block so easily. Spend Saturday in class and stay through the Sunday Open Sew to complete your block.

Optical Illusion
Saturday, May 7th
Lots of BANG for your limited time. Make this cool 52" quilt in a weekend. We will make most of the quilt in class on Saturday and finish up in an Open Sew on Sunday. Made with 2 1/2" strips - cut from your stash or make it easy and use a Bali Poppy (21 strips) of light and another of dark.
Teddy Bear Day
Sunday, May 22nd
Join us for a day to help sew little teddy bears for Emerson Hospital. A soft little flannel teddy bear is given to every child arriving for treatment. The hospital staff has commented upon how much the bears help the children feel safer at a frightening time.
We have work for everyone: cutting, sewing and stuffing the bears. All help is appreciated.

Catherine's Summer Sewing Bee
